Judiciary Committee Announces Ambitious Agenda for Tomorrow's Meeting

Today the Senate Judiciary Committee announced that it plans to hold votes on several controversial circuit court nominees at tomorrow’s Executive Business Meeting. These include four of the nominees resubmitted by the president after they were returned by the Senate last month – William Haynes, Terrence Boyle, William Myers and Norman Randy Smith. The Committee also plans a vote on Peter Keisler, whose nomination has raised the issue of whether it is necessary to fill an 11th seat on the D.C. Circuit. Several district court nominees are on the agenda as well.
