The Nation's "Kennedy Court"

So what have Roberts, Alito, and the Court's shifting center meant for the country? Publications ranging from The New Republic to The New York Times have already weighed in, noting that Justice Kennedy is the Court's new center. As The Nation sees it, Kennedy has certainly been a moderating force on the Court's new conservative voting bloc, but "this term only illustrates how close the Court is to veering off in an extreme rightward direction."
