The Future of Election Law

After a week of reflection on the Supreme Court's latest term, we thought we’d jump back in the game a bit and direct you to this fine analysis of the election law cases, Sorrell and LULAC, done by the nation’s leading election law lawyer, Rick Hasen. Of particular note is Hasen’s warning that “beneath the surface” of both decisions lies the possibility that the Court “may move in the coming decades in a much more conservative direction [than] the Rehnquist Court on both campaign finance and voting rights.”
