Salon Benches Boyle Clerks' Memo

Today, Salon published a follow-up piece on Fourth Circuit nominee Terrence Boyle, who has recently been dogged by the disclosure that he issued rulings in a number of cases involving companies in which he owned stock -- a big no-no under both federal law and the judicial canons of ethics. The Salon piece refutes, point-by-point, a memo that some of Judge Boyle's former clerks are circulating in an effort downplay his ethical lapses.
