Yesterday, by a vote of 92 to 0, the Senate confirmed Kimberly Ann Moore, an Associate Professor of Law at George Mason University, to a seat on the Federal Circuit. According to How Appealing, 38-year-old Moore will be the youngest federal appellate judge currently on the bench.
In other news, in addition to the expected renominations of the five controversial appellate court nominees who were returned at the end of the Senate's last session, yesterday President Bush submitted the names of several new district court nominees: Halil Suleyman Ozerden to the Southern District of Mississippi; Otis D. Wright, II to the Central District of California; and George H. Wu to the Central District of California.
