So You Had a Bad Day

Things are not getting better for Terrence Boyle. His already-troubled nomination (you know, pesky concerns about a horrible civil rights record, a reversal rate almost double that of any other judge in the 4th Circuit, those sorts of things) received another blow when Salon revealed his numerous ethical violations earlier this spring. Now the American Bar Association has downgraded its rating from unanimously well qualified to majority qualified/minority well qualified with one abstention. Tomorrow may be another day, but somehow we don't think a new dawn will magically change Boyle's record, his reversal rate, or his poor choices when it comes to scrupulously observing judicial ethics.
