A new LSC nominee?

President Obama has nominated Seattle attorney Harry J.F. Korrell, III to the board of the Legal Services Corporation. At first blush, we question whether Mr. Korrell is the best possible nominee for this position: LSC is the largest national nonprofit organization providing civil legal aid to the poor, and nothing in Mr. Karrell’s biography suggests he actively serves that community. However, his work has included suing the Seattle School Board over the integration of public schools in a case titled, Parents Involved in Community Schools v. Seattle School District No. 1, 551 U.S. 701 (2007). Learn more about the landmark decision by watching our short documentary, Supreme Injustices.
