Neff Confirmed

Judge Janet Neff was finally confirmed to a lifetime appointment in the Western District of Michigan. As we previously reported, Judge Neff’s confirmation – along with the other Michigan judicial nominees to which her nomination was tied – was held up by Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS). Well, yesterday the Senate voted 83-4, with only Senators Kyl, Bunning, and Martinez, along with Senator Brownback, voting against her confirmation. The other two Michigan nominees were unanimously confirmed. We are glad that Judge Neff will finally sit on the federal bench and that this ridiculous episode has come to an end.
