Hardiman Moves Towards Confirmation

The nomination of Judge Thomas Hardiman to the Third Circuit is scheduled to be voted out of the Senate Judiciary Committee at next Thursday’s Executive Business Meeting. Currently a federal district court judge in the Western District of Pennsylvania, Judge Hardiman was nominated last September and had a hearing in late November. New Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT) has promised to expedite the confirmation of those nominees who, like Hardiman, already had hearings during the 109th Congress.
