The Nominees Just Keep Coming

Late last month President Bush named eleven more nominees to the federal courts, including five appellate court nominees:

John Preston Bailey to the Northern District of West Virginia; Mary O. Donohue to the Northern District of New York; John Alfred Jarvey to the Southern District of Iowa; Robert James Jonker to the Western District of Michigan; Kent A. Jordan to the Third Circuit; Peter Douglas Keisler to the D.C. Circuit; Raymond M. Kethledge to the Sixth Circuit; Debra Ann Livingston to the Second Circuit; Paul Lewis Maloney to the Western District of Michigan; Stephen Joseph Murphy, III to the Sixth Circuit; and Janet T. Neff to the Western District of Michigan.

We’re bracing ourselves for the hearings on this latest slew of nominations. The Judiciary Committee has already scheduled a hearing for this Tuesday but has not stated which nominees will be on the agenda.
